Lewis Hamilton has been quite the quote-giver lately. He's gone on the record numerous times discussing the Bahrain GP, the next race at Albert Park in Australia, and various cars in the field.

After the Bahrain GP, he discussed with BBC an aggressive move Felipe Massa made that cost him a chance of competing with Fernando Alonso. The "move" Massa made was aggressive but not illegal, nevertheless, it forced Hamilton behind Rosberg and lost some of his momentum. Well Lewis, this is racing after all.

Still speaking with the BBC , he mentioned some interested details about his his MP4-25 vehicle stating that "in clear air, on new tyres, the car felt great, [but] we have to make a big step, because in the middle sector we are really lacking.

"Since I have been here at McLaren we have never really had an amazing rear end. The car is great in the high-speed but not so good in the low and medium-speed corners at the rear, so we really need to pick up some down-force there.”

So if that's the case, Lewis, tell me how you would be competing with Alonso up front? Let alone how well Vettel's Red Bull was doing before their unfortunate spark plug problem.

Just a couple days ago, Crash.net quoted Hamilton when discussing the next grand prix being held in Australia, and that it should be a good race for both McLarens as they've "got a number of smaller components that we expect to add to the car ahead of the race.

"We've had the chance to reflect upon it, and I believe that our start to the season has been mostly encouraging. Our race pace in Bahrain looked respectable—we had the fastest car for much of the second half of the race—and I think we now have a clearer idea of how to set the car up over a grand prix weekend."

But rightfully so, he also admitted that “of course, we're under no illusions that the opposition will be tough—and we expect a fantastic battle in Melbourne this weekend.”

And now Hamilton admits that "The Red Bull is ridiculously faster than anyone else's car. It's insane. The down-force they had on their car last year was at some points just about double what we had. Even at the end of the year they had so much more than us, even though we had won a couple of grands prix. They (Vettel and Webber) have both got the fastest car by quite a big step. They should be quite a lot further ahead in general."

I'm confused!

Read more Formula 1 news on BleacherReport.com

If you didn't get a chance to see the launch of each team's new vehicle, drivers, and color schemes before the Bahrain GP, you certainly got a chance to see all the helmets during the race itself.

Perhaps not close up enough, though.

Since there is a new point system in Formula One for finishing 1 through 10, here are the top 10 helmets of the 2010 season.

Can Sebastian Vettel be the Next Great One?

The only exciting part about the Bahrain GP this past weekend was watching Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel is to Formula 1 what Lionel Messi is to soccer and Sidney Crosby is to hockey—he is making himself known as the next face of Formula 1. This isn't news to most as it's been said before by fans and professionals—Mr. Schumacher himself has mentioned he could be the future of the sport.

The rule changes that we've seen over the past few years have been chaotic to say the least, and along with that, there has been endless shuffling of drivers, teams, and systems.

Yet Vettel, at such a young age and with such little F1 experience, seems to adapt very quickly each and every time.

His Formula 1 history, although limited, speaks volumes: He certainly impressed everyone when given the shot to drive for BMW in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, he battled a tough group of drivers with a not-so-tough car and still managed to finish eighth in the driver standings, gaining some good experiences under his belt.

In 2009, Vettel, despite making some minor errors while still driving that not-so-tough car, finished second in the standings. He has accomplished all this in only two full seasons as a Formula 1 driver, thus taking many "youngest driver to..." records off Fernando Alonso.

It's not just about talent, though. He has a very good head on his shoulders. His attitude towards himself, the sport, and learning his craft is always very optimistic. Not all drivers are so composed, and, as we've seen in the past, they can often bring themselves and their entire team down.

Of course, only time will tell if he is to be considered an all-time great, but his future sure looks bright.

With the likes of Michael Schumacher making his return, it only makes things tougher. It's not a bad thing, though. If Vettel continues to get better and win a championship with Schumacher also in contention, his stock goes up.

After the Bahrain GP, it seems as though that pesky car is still with him, but in general, the Red Bull team has made improvements.

So, if improvements result in better points, 2010 could very well be the year that Vettel raises the drivers championship.

We'll soon find out if this is the year that jump starts it all.

Read more Formula 1 news on BleacherReport.com
