Andy Murray: What Can Be Expected After Claiming Olympic Gold

That does not mean that he is in the clear now and we can consider a "fabulous four" in tennis instead of just a "big three," but what does this victory mean for Andy Murray and what can we expect out of him from here on out?
There is a total possibility that this win against Roger Federer may just have been a matter of luck, with Murray having everything come together at the perfect moment. However, that does not seem like the case.
Murray, if you look back to the last two big tournaments, has been playing some really good tennis. He has advanced to the finals of both the Wimbledon Major and the Olympic Games, both times facing off against Federer.
Federer is arguably one of the best to ever play the game, and he's still one of the best playing the game. To be able to beat him even one out of two is an accomplishment.
What is sometimes forgotten, though, are the players that Murray has been able to beat on his path to those same finals. At Wimbledon, he took out the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and David Ferrer, both in four sets. At the Olympics, he was able to not only beat Federer in the finals but also Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.
Those are some pretty impressive wins for Andy Murray.
Although it may be early to make such predictions, it seems like Andy Murray has finally carried himself over the hump and catapulted himself into that next level of tennis. Putting him with the likes of Federer, Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
Much of this will be determined by his performance at the US Open. If he regresses, then it will seem like all that he has accomplished in the short past will be down the drain. Even though that may not be the case at all, it will certainly seem like it.
Murray will need to come into the US Open ...
