No one is making mincemeat of the course more than Scott Stallings.
After going for an impressive 66 and 65 in the first two rounds on this par-72 course, the 28-year-old was even better on Saturday as he fired a nine-under 63 to drop to an impressive 22 under.
That is a full five shots clear of second place.
Stallings is playing out of his mind right now. Check out this long putt for an eagle on the par-five eighth hole, and you can get a feel for the kind of zone he is in.
That was the first of two eagles in Stalling's bogey-free third round. Stallings has a huge lead over a tightly bunched pack of golfers who will be ready to pounce if he slips at all on Sunday.
These guys may not want to hold their breath waiting for Stallings to slip, though. Stallings didn't just play a bogey-free round—he has yet to finish a hole over par for the entire tournament.

Among those locked in the tie for second is veteran Charles Howell III.
This strong showing is a great sign for Howell. He started and ended his 2012 with second-place finishes. In between, he suffered through a lot of missed cuts and disappointing performances.
