FedEx Cup Standings 2013: Surging Golfers Who Will Struggle at BMW Championship

According to the Live Projected FedEx standings, Garcia earned 563 points for his efforts, which moved him from No. 55 in the rankings all the way up to No. 24. It was a huge jump for him after a frustrating season, but he wasn't the only golfer to shoot up the board last Sunday.
With another strong showing at the BMW Championship, Garcia could be playing for $10 million in the final event of the FedEx Cup.
One hundred golfers were invited to the Deutsche Bank Championship. The field shrinks to just 70 golfers at the BMW Championship and down to 30 for the Tour Championship.

These upcoming golfers made significant strides toward staying in the FedEx Cup for the long haul. But despite surging up the standings last weekend, they are more likely to miss the 30-man cut down for the Tour Championship.
Sergio Garcia (No. 24)
Garcia took a two-stroke lead into Sunday at TPC Boston, as noted by TaylorMade Golf:
He'd put together three superb rounds in a row and had a chance to move all the way up to No. 3 in the FedEx Cup standings with the win. But, as is his wont, Garcia tanked in Round 4, shooting two-over par on the round.
He was the only man on the leaderboard who shot over par on Sunday.
