Chris Paisley
After an even par 72 on Thursday, Paisley had a field day on Friday. He was 10 shots better with a 10 under 62 to move into a tie for 13th on the leaderboard. He's still five shots behind the leader, who is Paisley's countrymen Tom Lewis. The latter has been more consistent through two days.
Paisley was bogey-free on the day and topped off his eight birdies with a scintillating eagle on the 16th hole. Couple his two shots gained on the 16th with his birdie on the 18th, and Paisley's performance on the last three holes is strikingly different than what he accomplished on Thursday.
In the first round, Paisley bogeyed 16, 17 and 18 to ruin what could have been a decent round. It has been a tale of two rounds thus far. We'll see which Paisley shows up through the weekend.
Joost Luiten
Luiten is one of three players who shot a nine-under 63 on Friday, but whose efforts have him sitting in the top five. Hennie Otto and Alexander Levy were just as good, but a four-under 68 and three-over 75, respectively, on Thursday keeps them behind Luiten and Lewis.
Luiten had an eagle on the third hole and four-straight birdies from the sixth to the ninth hole.
