Masters Betting Preview: Day, McIlroy, Spieth Odds Favorites at Sportsbooks

Rory McIlroy and defending champion Jordan Spieth had previously joined Day atop the betting board, but they have since dropped slightly to +950 and +1000, respectively.
Day’s best finish at the Masters came in 2011 when he placed second behind Charl Schwartzel. McIlroy had a four-stroke lead heading into the final round that year and blew it in an epic collapse, dropping seven strokes from 11-under to four-under en route to finishing in a tie for 15th.
McIlroy placed fourth at the Masters last year for the best finish of his career—six strokes behind Spieth.
The 22-year-old Spieth is trying to become the first repeat Masters champ since Tiger Woods accomplished the feat in 2002. Spieth also won the U.S. Open last year and finished second in the PGA Championship following a fourth-place tie at The Open Championship.
Day won the 2015 PGA Championship for his first career major victory and also tied with Spieth at The Open Championship.
Bubba Watson won the Masters in two of the previous four years, and he is listed at +1200 on the odds to win the Masters along with 2013 winner Adam Scott. Last year, Watson won the Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour plus the Hero World Challenge in December.
Watson has already won the Northern Trust Open this year in February, while Scott has taken home titles in The Honda Classic and the WGC-Cadillac Championship by one stroke over Watson.
Scott and Watson are ranked first and second, respectively, on the PGA Tour money list this season.
Schwartzel is at +3300 odds behind other top contenders such as Rickie Fowler (+1600), Phil Mickelson (+1800), Dustin Johnson (+2000...
