So far, the Fall Series has been anything but disappointing. Last week Ben Crane came from six shots back with nine to play to beat Webb Simpson in a playoff, and Bud Cauley became just the sixth player to earn his tour card without going to Q-School.
There are some familiar faces this week at Disney, including past winners Joe Durant, Robert Garrigus, Jeff Maggert, Ryan Palmer, Stephen Ames, David Duval and 2012 Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love III.
The thing that is grabbing everyone's attention is the battle for the money title between current leader Webb Simpson and world No. 1 Luke Donald. Donald has a chance of making history this week. If he performs well enough to claim the PGA Tour money title, he would become the first player to win the money title and the European Tour Order of Merit in the same season.
However, he faces a daunting task as there isn't a hotter golfer on tour than Webb Simpson. Donald would almost certainly need Webb to miss the cut in order for him to claim the money title.
POWER RANKINGS:
1. Justin Rose- He has done everything but win at Disney, and he hasn't played since the TOUR Championship, so he will be well rested.
2. Webb Simpson- He would probably be looked at as the favorite if he didn't putt so terribly last week at the McGladrey Classic.
3. Luke Donald- Donald hasn't won a stroke play event in the states since the 2006 Honda Classic, but he seems so determined to win the money title that I won't bet against him. It will be interesting to see if Donald is paired with Simpson in the opening round.
4. Gary Woodland- Although it is his first appearance at Disney, Woodland is riding a bit of a hot streak with five consecutive top 25 finishes.
