Memorial Tournament 2012: Why Tiger Woods Will Undoubtedly Win Tourney

Arguably the greatest talent to grace the sport, Woods has jumped from five-under par to six-under par, still holding the No. 2 spot on the leaderboard through six holes of play at the Memorial Tournament.
As poorly as he has performed as of late, there is every reason to believe Woods has what it takes to win the 2012 tournament. Based on his past success in this event and his exceptional putting at the tournament this year, Woods will undoubtedly hoist the trophy when it's all said and done.
Make no mistake about it.
The one key to Woods' chances is the fact that he has been a force to reckon with at this tournament for the better part of his career.
Woods is a four-time winner at the event, winning three consecutive years between 1999 and 2001. His most recent victory came in 2009, winning by one stroke in what was a Round 4 thriller.
Golfing talent Kenny Perry is the only other golfer that rivals Woods' success at the tournament, boasting three titles himself at Muirfield Village.
The other key to a victory in this tournament will be the outright consistency he has displayed on the greens. Time and time again, as Woods struggled to fix his image in the public eye, the one area he struggled with most was his putting.
In this tournament, Woods has looked as solid as he has in recent memory, posing two double-bogeys and no bogeys through roughly two and a half rounds of play.
If Woods can bring his experience to the table and make the most of his opportunities in these final two rounds, there is no question this will be a difficult talent to top.
Woods has done it before, is on point with his putting game and is ultimately ready to get back on track in the sport. Look for Woods to explode on Sunday en route to victory.
