Avnet LPGA Classic: Who Is Hot and Ready to Claim Victory in the South?

When you talk about the LPGA and the hottest player in the world of women's golf, you don't have to look any further than the world's No. 1, Yani Tseng.
The young Tseng from Taiwan had a breakthrough year in 2010, winning two of the LPGA's majors at the Kraft Nabisco and the RICOH Women's British Open. Combine that with her 2008 LPGA Championship and Tseng is already three-fourths of the way from completing the career grand slam.
Only six players in the history of the LPGA tour have accomplished this feat so far. Completing this would put Yani in a very elite group to say the least.
Tseng is well known for her power off of the tee and her ability to string birdies together during tournaments. She has to be one of the favorites heading into the Avnet next week.
Moving slightly down the Rolex Rankings list on the LPGA we come to Cristie Kerr at the No. 3 spot.
Kerr recently made LPGA history by becoming the first American player to shoot all the way up to the top of the Rolex Rankings after she ran away from the field at the 2010 Wegmans LPGA Championship and won by 12 strokes.
Cristie's dominating performance was the largest margin of victory on the LPGA Tour since Babe Zaharis won the 1954 U.S. Women's Open by the same margin.
To go along with her rise to the top of the LPGA world, Kerr has 14 career victories and two majors. She has also finished inside the top-10 of the LPGA's money list each of the last seven seasons.
