Recap Strong winds hampered the players on Friday, with several favourites for the title struggling with their tee-shots. Bernd Wiesberger (E) and Chris Hanson (+1) have some catching up to do to finish in the top 10, although the latter didn't seem too displeased with his performance:
Bourdy didn't seem too bothered by the wind, however, tying the day's best score with a round of three-under to grab a share of the lead.
The Frenchman carded four birdies and a single bogey despite finding the fairway on just five out of fourteen attempts. His scrambles and approaches were solid all day, as evidenced by this superb shot toward the end of his round, per the European Tour's official Twitter account:
Lombard dropped two shots on the back nine, but a fantastic showing on the front nine, including five birdies and just a single bogey, saw him finish the day two-under and with a share of the lead.
The South African has been among the most consistent performers so far in Austria, and while he missed on the opportunity to take a significant lead over the rest of the field into Saturday, he's still a strong contender for the title.
