Player to Watch: Matt Kuchar
After finishing eighth in the 2014 edition of this tournament, tour veteran Matt Kuchar is looking to continue kicking off the year with another stellar performance at the 2015 Sony Open.
Kuchar played well in last weekend’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions, finishing tied for 17th at 12 under par, but the 36-year-old will be looking to improve at the second tour stop in Hawaii this month.
One of the biggest issues for Kuchar in the past has been the slow starts to his seasons, but he has played well over the last month. Not only did he finish tied for eighth at the Hero World Challenge, but he also managed to rack up an impressive second-place finish (tied) at the Franklin Templeton Shootout.
