Tiger Woods: Is Twitter a Bad Decision for the Embattled Golfer?

If you're like me, you're also wondering something like this: Between the nasty divorce, the lack of PGA production and the general low opinion of him, is Twitter really the best decision?
Let's start by breaking down the decision behind Twitter:
1. Connecting with Fans
There is no doubt that Tiger needs to get back into the good graces of his fans, and what better way to do so then to get a Twitter? It seems to be the way that celebrities connect with their fans these days, and so it was only natural that Woods follow suit.
2. Pushing Himself Back into the Spotlight
Getting a Twitter account means more exposure for his name and his brand on the internet.
Now, granted, those seem like pretty good reasons. Tiger Woods desperately needs an image makeover, and perhaps something to distract people from the fact that he has yet to place in the top three this year (he even failed to make the cut in one of his competitions).
However, doesn't this seem like a bad idea?
Sure, the positives are undeniable. However, there seems to be too much not to like about this decision.
For one, does Tiger Woods really have the time for Twitter? Granted, Twitter is not something that takes a whole lot of time (the character limit takes care of that). However, when you have a lot of fans and want to connect with as many as possible, it can start to pile up on you.
It makes you wonder: What makes him think he has that time to give? Considering that he has failed to place in any of his competitions this year, it really seems like he could use all the training time that he can get.
