What Would Be Interesting: Tony Romo Qualifying for U.S. Open

It seems that Tony Romo is trying to qualify for the U.S. Open this year in golf!
Now this may not be that surprising, since we've seen Romo in many golf games on television and at celebrity golf competitions.
In fact, just about two weeks ago, Romo shot a two-under 69 .
As I look at the updates for Romo at a live blog by Calvin Watkins , Romo is playing well.
Through eight holes, Romo is shooting one-over par. On a recent par-five, Romo made it on the green in two, going for an eagle!
Though he missed the eagle putt badly, he sank the tough eight foot birdie that followed to move to one-over par.
I mean, at least this isn't as bad as what Jerry Rice did. He kept shooting in the 80s and 90s as he tried to qualify for some golf matches. But he never did.
There are two spots in the U.S. Open for players to qualify. But the thing is, besides Romo, there are 35 other talented players vying for those two spots.
That may put pressure on the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback.
It's nice to Romo finding room for golf in the weeks leading up to preseason workouts.
Who doesn't have the time for a little golf? Although Romo has said he will always put his work with the Cowboys first if there are any conflicts.
Romo, and 35 other players, will play 36 holes today.
Romo teed off at 9 AM, and is expected to finish his first 18 holes by soon.
Romo's second round will begin at 2 PM and he hopes to finish by 6 PM. His round was delayed today though, so that is subject to change.
The multi-talented Romo will drop his clubs and don his helmet for OTA's tomorrow. Hopefully the rest of the Cowboys will take it easy on their star quarterback, but I doubt it.
I hope Romo qualifies. I wish him good luck today and hope that he gets a good score.
