Andy Roddick, Nikolay Davydenko, Ernests Gulbis Back On Track

Andy Roddick, probably from the French Open onward, was suffering from mononucleosis, until about now. Roddick made it to only the third round of French Open, and fourth round of Wimbledon, and suffered from more upsets during the start of the US hard court season.
But there are reasons to hope for Roddick, because he just beat top-10 Robin Soderling in a three-set thriller in the third round at Cincinnati. Roddick and Soderling, two hard-hitting players, met that early because Roddick had slipped down the rankings to No. 13 because of some bad results. But after beating a player as high a caliber as Soderling, Roddick must be brimming with confidence, after winning the third set tiebreak which lasted 12 points.
Nikolay Davydenko has been absent for a lot this season, missing with an injury. Before the injury occurred, Davydenko was on cloud nine, playing the best tennis of his life. In the fall of 2009, Davydenko beat then World No. 1 (and soon to be?) Roger Federer, and then beat young gun Juan Martin Del Potro, who was fresh off his win at the US Open, at the World Tour Finals in London, making his second final in a row.
Then he won the tournament in Qatar, a warm-up for the Australian Open. He beat Federer in straight sets, then beat Nadal in the final. That put Davydenko in the group of players that beat Federer and Nadal in consecutive matches: Davydenko, Del Potro, and Djokovic.
Davydenko played good tennis at the Australian Open, making the quarterfinals before losing to Roger Federer. Davydenko was up a set and a break, and had break points to go up a double break. However, Federer was able to up his gam...
