Wimbledon 2012 Results: Top Moments from Women’s Final Showdown

More than anything, the competitive 2012 Wimbledon final left fans with countless memorable moments.
At first it seemed as though Williams was going to cruise to victory. Williams gave Radwanska no room to breathe in the 6-1 first-set win with her aggressive serve game and accurate winners. However, Radwanska responded with top-notch tennis and took the second set 7-5. She eventually lost the match to Williams after dropping the final set 6-2.
During this back-and-forth struggle, these were the three most telling moments of the women's final at Wimbledon.
The One Win for Radwanska in Set 1
Radwanska was able to put up a point on the board just before the end of the first set. She was well on her way to losing the first set in bagel fashion.
Although Radwanska lost the set 6-1, the one game played a major factor in the second set. Following the rain delay, Radwanska came into the set with a much more confident forehand and overall game.
The momentum helped her to win the second set.
Radwanska's Three-Game Streak in Set 2, Missed Call
Radwanska was down 2-4 in the second set and it seemed as if Williams was going to cruise to a straight-set win.
Yet it was Radwanska's intelligent ball placement and strong games on serve that got her right back into the match. She held serve to go down one game, 4-3.
Radwanska followed this with a break in the eighth game of the set. However, during the game Williams nailed Radwanska with a beautiful serve that was incorrectly called out. The ball was actually well in play. Despite turning the call around with a challenge, it was clear Williams was rattled.
