2010 BMW Championship Picks & Predictions

This week the PGA Tour moves into a third installment of the playoff system, as the top 70 golfers in the FedEx points standings are invited to take aim at the 2010 BMW Championship at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. After the finish to this week’s event the field will be trimmed down to the top 30 golfers for the final stop at the Tour Championship.
All eyes this weekend will be on the defending champ, and two time winner of this event, Tiger Woods, who at 51st place, is in desperate need of a strong finish or he could be eliminated from the field.
Tiger won this event by a eight-strokes in 2009, as he shot a 19-under 265.
For those of you looking to place a bet on who will win the tournament this weekend, here is a look at the the three golfers I feel have the best shot at coming away with a win.
Tiger Woods: Tiger has struggled to play well at courses he has excelled at over his career this season, and Cog Hill is another course on the list that many expect him to at least finish in the top 10, if not win.
Woods has won five times throughout his career at Cog Hill, and I think this is the week he snaps out of his funk and grabs his first win of the season. After a slow start to the Deutsche Bank Championship, Tiger was able to fight back and finish tied for 11th.
I look for four solid rounds out of Woods this weekend, as I just can’t imagine he is going to fail to perform and miss out on the chance to play at the Tour Championship.
