As day two of the U.S. Open came to a close for golf superstar Tiger Woods, it wasn't hard to tell the star was frustrated.

Finishing 1-over for the day, Woods had a hopeful beginning to round two when he saw his first two birdies of the tournament in the first five holes of the day.

Things quickly started to slide downhill for Woods, and by the end of the day he ended round two with four bogeys and three birdies.

Woods cited the "awful" greens as the main source for his struggles when he missed a 12-foot putt on number six, and an eight-foot birdie putt on number 18.

Since hitting ten straight greens in the opening of the tournament, Woods has gone 13 for 26 in hitting greens.

Reports say Woods has been receiving a fairly positive response from fans. There is the typical massive gallery following him throughout the course, and offensive comments have been kept at a minimum.

Its been ten years since Woods earned his record-breaking victory at the U.S. Open when he won by an incredible 15 strokes.

Now, sitting seven strokes behind leader Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland, Woods has his work cut out for him if he wants to claim the title of 2010 U.S. Open Champion.

If Woods hopes to contend for the title, he has to stay focused, and work on his putting game.

Woods needs to stop blaming the "awful" greens for his putting difficulties, and make the ever-important birdie opportunities he has.

While it isn't looking good for Woods, most know to never doubt his ability to come back after a tough round and turn his game around. Stay tuned to see what this golf phenom has to offer.
