Masters Magic and Mojo from Old Man Tom Watson

As it turned out, Old Man Watson was dealt a cruel hand on that final hole of the Open Championship.
Fate smiled on golf's 60-year-old Magic Man once again during the first round of the 2010 Masters Thursday. Mojo was his name as the senior citizen with a fake hip and that classic golf swing carved out a nifty opening 67 to put the rest of the field on early notice.
Watson birdied 15, 16 then 18 to go five-under before Tiger Woods got to the third tee. It tied his career low at Augusta and it's been an amazing 20 years since he last played this well on the majestic layout.
Watson set the pace on a day when the favorites in the field were making under-par statements of their own.
Phil Mickelson was plodding along unceremoniously before he holed a 20-footer for eagle at 13 to go three-under with plenty of birdie opportunities left.
Still, it was Old Tom once again amazing everyone.
The man who won in 1977 and 1981 was at it again, just like he was last summer.
"Pretty good for a 60-year-old," Watson said afterward with a smile.
Darn right you are, Tom Watson.
