PGA Tour Predictions: 2011 Bob Hope Classic

Unlike most PGA Tour events, the Bob Hope Classic spreads over five days, compared to the usual four rounds. The event is held at four different courses—PGA West's Palmer Private , PGA West's Nicklaus Private, Silver Rock's Palmer Course and La Quinta Country Club.
Many of golf's big names will not be in action, as many players choose not to play in the event because rounds tend to take extra long. There still figures to be plenty of good golf to see, as 12 former major winners are in the field.
Bill Haas will look to become the first player to win this event in back-to-back years since Johnny Miller did so back in 1975-76. Haas needed to shoot 30-under to win the event last year and going low is a must at this event.
Joe Durant holds the tournament record with a five round score of 36-under, set back in 2001.

Matt Kuchar: Kuchar comes into this event as the clear favorite to win, and it's hard to argue against him being in the top spot. Kuchar really came on strong in 2010, finishing first on the money list and second in the FedEx Cup standings. Kuchar finished in the top ten 11 times last season, including his only win of the season at the Barclays.
Kuchar finished tied for 25th at this event in 2009 and nearly came away with a win last season, finished tied for second, just one shot behind Haas.
