Players Championship 2013: Players Who Will Remain in Contention Through Weekend

Per the Weather Channel, there is some chance we'll see a few thunderstorms in the afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. Could the rain put a damper on a few contenders' days?
Sergio Garcia is leading the way after one round, but as he is paired with the better players in the field, he will fold. Its almost as if he doubts whether he belongs when he plays against the best.
He won't be the only player with one of the top five scores that won't hold their position.
More will buckle as we get closer to money time, but these three players will remain in the hunt through Sunday.
Tiger Woods
The world's best player is proving he's just that. Two straight 67s have Woods eyeing just his second title at The Players Championship.
He's eight under on par fives and that has been the key for him. When he's devouring the long holes, he's difficult to beat.
There is no reason to believe he'll slow down. Woods will be in the top three throughout the remainder of the tournament. Tiger won this tournament in 2001 and he's playing even better this year than he did then.
Matt Kuchar
The defending champion was good on Thursday, but he was even better on Friday. Kuchar followed up a one-under 71 in the first round with a 66 in the second round.
He's not my pick to win the tournament again, but he's proving 2012 was no fluke.
Kuchar's seven birdies on Friday served notice he's going be heard from again this year.
Adam Scott
Scott got the monkey off his back by winning the Masters. Some have forgotten that he actually won this tournament in 2004.
