Steve Williams Apologizes for Racist Comments Directed at Tiger Woods

Friday night at an award ceremony for caddys, Williams received a satirical award for the speech he gave after the golfer he works for now, Adam Scott, won the Bridgestone Invitational tournament he was working.
Williams made several jokes during his speech and reportedly said that he wanted to shove the award up “Tiger’s black arse,” which he does not deny.
Williams told CNN about his comments at the Caddy awards:
I apologize for comments I made last night at the Annual Caddy Awards dinner in Shanghai. Players and caddies look forward to this evening all year and the spirit is always joking and fun. I now realize how my comments could be construed as racist. However, I assure you that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to Tiger and anyone else I have offended.
We live in a world that has become far too sensitive over everything and another example of this is coming from the reaction to what Williams said at a caddy awards ceremony.
This has nothing to do with race, but instead has everything to do with a worker that feels slighted by his former employer for what the caddy perceives as being treated like garbage.
After years of service and facing the turmoil that Woods did alongside him, Williams felt he was cast aside for no good reason and has been very outspoken about his distaste for Woods and his lifestyle.
Williams just needs to let the Tiger Woods mess go, but he can't until everyone stops asking about it.
