Tiger Woods Gobs and He Gets the Gobs Flapping in the U.K.

Oh, sure, I'm fully aware of his sordid past and spent much of last year believing him to be beneath pond scum. I thought him to be a filthy bit of business who required a good hosing down. But then I figured, what the heck, if his ex-bride Elin can move on, so can I.
And so it was that I found myself root, root, rooting for the great philanderer when he teed it up in the Dubai desert last weekend. I had great expectations. He had great expectorations.
Which is why I love the guy again.
I mean, how can you not like a guy who, simply by launching a loogie, gets gobs flapping like goose wings during migration? Especially in the United Kingdom, where the rabble seem to have this odd notion that they function on a loftier level of intellect and culture than those of us who have the bad manners to take in oxygen on this side of the big pond.
I suppose the Kingdomites think that way because, after all, they live in a kingdom rather than a simple country like the U.S.A. or Canada. And the fact that their kingdom doesn't actually have a king is irrelevant. A kingdom is a kingdom is a kingdom, even if a Queen wears the pants in the house. Or, in her case, the pants in the palace.
But I digress...
I honestly don't know what made me laugh more in the past couple of days, Woods gobbing on the only patch of green earth in the Dubai desert or the reaction from pompous U.K. commentators.
For those of you who came in late, Woods was in the process of losing another golf tournament when he crouched behind his ball on the 12th green at the Emirates Club in Dubai this past Sabbath. He suddenly turned his head to the right and let loose a loogie the size of Manhattan. Right on the carpet. Video evidence of this has now been viewed more often than the Zapruder film, and there can be no mistaking that the projectile was, indeed, fired from Tiger Woods' mouth...
