Bubba's Day
Three early birdies made it appear as if Watson was going to run away and hide.
This birdie on the third hole was his second in a row and took him to 12 under on the tournament.
He would get as low as 13 under before things went awry on the back nine. Bogeys on 13, 15 and 17 sent Watson tumbling back toward the hard-charging field and ultimately landed him in a share of the lead.
He must regain focus and put together a solid round to win this tournament.
Hoffman and DeLaet's Charge
On the back nine, DeLaet was nearly flawless. Were it not for a bogey on the 16th hole, the 31-year-old Canadian would have been in the lead after three rounds. He had a total of six birdies on the day with five of them coming on holes 10-18.
That includes a stretch of four straight on holes 10-13. Check out his 15-foot birdie on 18 to finish out a stellar third round.
Hoffman was almost as good, though he scattered his five birdies throughout his round on Saturday. Hoffman's lone slip up came on the 12th hole, but at the end of the day he sat neck-and-neck with DeLaet and Watson at 10 under par.
Hoffman's five-under 66 on Saturday was a welcomed resurgence after his two-over 73 on Friday dimmed the stellar 10-under 61 he produced on Thursday.
This beautiful 140-foot approach shot set up a tap in for birdie on the 14th hole.
