Watch Robin Van Persie’s Spectacular Goal to Send Holland to 2014 FIFA World Cup

Following on from his late penalty to snare a 2-2 draw for Holland against Estonia on Friday, van Persie stepped up once more on Tuesday to fire both goals in the 2-0 win over bottom-of-the-group Andorra.
His first goal was perhaps one of the goals of the current international break as he found the top corner with a terrific curling effort from range to give Holland a 50th-minute lead.
Shortly after, he netted his second goal of the night with a close-range effort after the ball fell invitingly to him inside the six-yard box, and Holland were able to see out the match in relative comfort against their extremely modest opposition.
For van Persie, the night was a poignant one as his brace, coupled with his penalty against Estonia, means he moves to a total of 38 goals for the national team, moving him above Dennis Bergkamp and into second place in the history of Dutch football.
He trails all-time record goalscorer Patrick Kluivert by just two goals, having also played one fewer game than the former Barcelona and Ajax man managed during his career.
More importantly for Holland as a whole, victory meant that they moved to 22 points in Group D, eight points clear of second-placed Hungary and thus have qualified for the World Cup next summer.
The Dutch have yet to lose a game during qualifying, winning seven and drawing one of their eight matches, scoring 24 times in the process.
Having finished as runners-up in the last World Cup in South Africa 2010, Holland will be hoping to go one better next summer in Brazil.
With van Persie in their team and on form, anything could yet be possible.
