Scotland vs. France: Final Score, Report and Reaction for Six Nations 2014

A late penalty conversion from Jean-Marc Doussain gave the French squad a hard-fought 17-19 win over a resilient Scottish side that will question how they didn't win a match they led with two minutes left to play. Fans were left wondering what had happened, as the Scots did more to lose the game than the French did to win it:

Fans were left in disbelief, but David Jack from the Times felt like it was all too believable:
Early tries from full back Stuart Hogg and wing back Tommy Seymour gave Scotland the lead, with France not able to muster too much offense, only scoring through a couple of conversions from Maxime Machenaud.
Scotland were in full control, but a mistake early in the second half gave all momentum to France when a wayward pass was intercepted by wing back Yoann Huget, who raced across the entire pitch and put the French squad in front, as shared by Scottish Rugby:
As fate would have it, the pass came from Duncan Weir, who gave Scotland the victory two weeks ago when he made a phenomenal drop kick late against the Italians. The interception took a promising scoring opportunity away from the Scottish side, essentially making it a 14-point play.
Scotland battled back and retook the lead with a penalty conversion by Weir, and a late push from France to secure the win was easily handled until a fatal late penalty gave Doussain a chance to give his team the win.
