Andy Murray Honored with Order of the British Empire Medal

Prince William presented Murray with an OBE, a medal naming him to the Order of the British Empire. This recognizes the great achievements the player has done for his country. ESPNUK provided an image of the ceremony:
The Scottish player has been known as one of the top competitors in the sport for years, although for years he struggled to win one of the bigger tournaments. That changed when he won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
He followed up that performance by winning his first Grand Slam at the U.S. Open. However, his best achievement was in 2013, when he won at Wimbledon, becoming the first British male to win the London tournament since Fred Perry in 1936.
This was clearly a huge moment for Murray and all the hometown fans.
These accomplishments allowed him to be honored by his country. Interestingly, Murray almost arrived late to the ceremony. He tweeted this early in the morning of the event:

They turned up at my door at 8.20am and I had a taxi booked for half past eight. I was a bit worried I was going to be late.
It’s part of the job but when you have a day like today you are looking forward to, it’s the last thing you need.
Fortunately, everything turned out alright, as the tennis star still made it on time.
The next thing Murray has to worry about is his health, as he has already missed a number of tournaments due to a back injury. He will miss the ATP World Tour Finals and could miss next year's Australian Open, according to BBC Sport.
