French Open 2013: Day 3 Matches Canceled by Weather at Roland Garros

Notable matches like Victoria Azarenka vs. Elena Vesnina and Petra Kvitova vs. Aravane Rezai will have to wait until Wednesday to be played. Many of the day's matches will likely be squeezed in after the showers end.
Men's world No. 1 Novak Djokovic is the top player in action on Day 3. The top-seeded Serb was scheduled to take on David Goffin on center court. That match is expected to be played later on Tuesday.
Tuesday wasn't the first time showers have forced French Open matches to be canceled or postponed. Just last year, the men's final was pushed to Monday because of rain.

The showers weren't expected to last all day and sure enough have stopped, allowing players to return to the courts for more tennis. The crowds aren't likely to put away their umbrellas just yet, as it does look as if there'll be plenty more action on Day 3.
Rain is common this time of year in Paris, and the city is known for having showers pop up seemingly out of nowhere.
The weather for the coming days is supposed to be overcast with the potential for more rain on Thursday.
