Rafael Nadal Will Win 2013 French Open After Defeating Novak Djokovic

The semifinal match between Djokovic and Nadal was a battle of epic proportions. The two kept going back and forth, before Nadal was able to finally win 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7 (3), 9-7.
With that duel out of the way, Nadal is now in great position to take home the title.
There’s little doubt that Nadal is the greatest clay-court player of all time. He has won countless matches on clay, and this year has been no different. He’s had an overall record of 31-2 on clay this season, with titles at the Brazil Open, Mexican Open, Barcelona Open, Madrid Open and Rome Open.
The win against Djokovic gives Nadal a career record of 58-1 at Roland Garros. He’s won three straight French Open titles and seven of the last eight. He’s had more French Open titles than anyone in the Open Era. The only other player to win the title during Nadal’s stretch here was Roger Federer back in 2009 when Nadal was dealing with tendinitis in his knees.
There’s very little chance that Nadal loses in the finals, but it is worth noting that David Ferrer is a more than respectable player. Although he is nowhere near the level of Nadal, Ferrer is still one of the better tennis players around on clay. He has had 10 of his 20 career singles titles come on clay, with one of those coming in 2013.
For Ferrer, this is the farthest he has ever made it at the French Open. He made it to the semifinals just last season, but fell to Nadal in quick fashion 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
Now, Ferrer will be looking for revenge from last season, but the odds are certainly against him. Along with Nadal simply being dominant on clay and at Roland Garros, he has a car...
