Wimbledon 2013: Top 20 Seeds for Men and Women’s Draw Announced

You have to go all the way back to Nadal's first Wimbledon appearance in 2003 to find the only other time the King of Clay entered the All England Club seeded lower than fourth. Nadal was unseeded that year and had just turned 17 years old.
2011 Wimbledon champion and current world No. 1 Novak Djokovic will enter the fortnight at SW19 as the top seed in the men's draw. Meanwhile, 2012 Wimbledon finalist Andy Murray will be seeded second after skipping the French Open earlier this summer to rest a bad back.
Seven-time Wimbledon winner and defending champion Roger Federer will be seeded third overall in the men's draw. Federer has struggled more than usual this season, but was able to win his first title of 2013 this past weekend at the Gerry Weber Open, an annual grass-court warm up tournament for Wimbledon.
In the women's draw, defending champion and five-time winner Serena Williams will be the top seed. Williams is in the midst of a 31-match winning streak and is less than two weeks removed from winning her 16th career Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.
Two-time Wimbledon semifinalist Victoria Azarenka will be seeded second, just ahead of 2004 champion Maria Sharapova.
2012 Wimbledon finalist Agnieszka Radwanska and 2012 French Open finalist Sara Errani round out the top-five seeds in the women's draw this summer.
